About

Soprano Lisa Moffat is an experienced opera singer and recitalist, described as “a real acting singer”, who loves to perform music from baroque oratorio to premiering new music.

Born and brought up in Scotland, Lisa made her operatic debut at 16 years old singing Barbarina in a touring production of The Marriage of Figaro (English Pocket Opera), and the Ryedale Festival.

There she won an Eva Turner Scholarship, the Marjorie Squires Bursary, sang in the Mozart and Schubert Festivals, and was a finalist in the Joyce and Michael Kennedy Award for the singing of Strauss.
